Sensible Social Media Checklist for Businesses: The Social Scoop Issue 131

Could you use a simple checklist for your social media activity? Look no further, I’ve found an awesome one for you! Check out this week’s top pick from The Social Scoop newsletter: a wonderful, colorful checklist/infographic from The Whole Brain Group [embedded below and you can also download a printable version here.]

I’ve always been a fan of creating simple systems to manage the complex. And, I’m sure you’ll agree, social media marketing is certainly one of the most complex topics out there! Just when you think you’ve mastered one layer, Facebook introduces yet another change, a new app comes along, or what worked six months ago no longer works now.

So, once you’re clear on your marketing objectives and strategy, an easy solution for consistent implementation is to work with a checklist!

The Social Scoop - by Mari Smith

Mari’s Top Social Media Picks – January 9, 2015
Issue #131

Greetings!

Could you use a simple checklist for your social media activity? Look no further, I’ve found the best one for you! Check out this week’s top pick from The Whole Brain Group!

1. Sensible Social Media Checklist for Business v3.0 [INFOGRAPHIC]

via TheWholeBrainGroup.com

This awesome checklist is in a colorful infographic format. You can view the graphic on the web and download a printable version in both single page and 5-page versions. I really love the visual element. (Hat tip to CoxBlue for this find!)

2. How to Use Facebook’s NEW Call-to-Action Button

via PostPlanner.com

Facebook recently launched a brand new CTA (call-to-action) button for fan pages! You can choose from one of seven buttons and link to any URL on or off Facebook. The choices are: Book Now, Contact Us, Use App, Play Game, Shop Now, Sign Up, or Watch Video. If you don’t have the button yet, it’s coming very shortly! Join the discussion here.

3. 2015 Social Media Predictions: 10 Forecasts You Need

via HeidiCohen.com

It’s that time of year when there are a ton of prediction posts flying around the web, some make sense and some are far-fetched. 😉 I found Heidi’s write-up to be particularly useful, as she’s included practical tips and actionable tactics for each of the predictions.

That’s all for for this week’s issue of The Social Scoop!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and productive week ahead.

On a personal note, I jumped back into the “work saddle” with 1000% gusto on Monday morning, ready to take on the world. I sure loved the quieter pace over the Holidays, and then was super EAGER to get going with 2015. Phew, well, here we are now nine days into the year and I’m still fired up, but also telling myself to pace it, girl! Ha! Seriously, it’s all about balance and making sure we allow sufficient time to recharge. I’m off for some fun R&R this weekend with a few girlfriends (and excited to see the new movie, Selma, too!).

Cheers!
