Have you filled out the correct form for account deactivation? To my knowledge, Facebook don't actually offer a phone/email customer support… unless you happen to have your own account rep (which seems to be for big brands/advertisers).

Which is the correct form for deactivation? I'm having a problem with a profile that was created. Somehow 2 accounts have conected to one e-mail address. And now I can't eliminate the non-working account, because I don't have access to it. Who am I to contact for profile elimination, because with all the forms around FB page, I can't find the right one?

Does anyone know why when I get a facebook message it tells me one time (example 5:20pm) while on my page it will say 3:20? Im not sure why there are 2 different times on there…can anyone tell me this? Im wondering if its from time zones or just what is going on. Not everyones will come through with odd times, but a few do. Thanks!

Sounds like a timezone difference for sure, Troy.

I have discovered a facebook page about me that I did not create. I do not have a facebook account, nor do I want one. I cannot find anyplace on facebook to report this. Ideas?

    • Mari Smith on October 2, 2010 at 1:25 pm

Hmm – is it a personal profile? or maybe a community page? Is it possible someone has the same name as you?

Regardless, to report an actual profile/page – you'll need to go to the actual page and scroll to the bottom left and look for the “Report this profile/page” link. That's the proper way to let Facebook know. Sadly, I'm not sure how responsive they are – in other words, it's not like the profile will come down right away.

Wow, so sorry to hear this — to report an actual profile/page – you'll need to go to the actual page and scroll to the bottom left and look for the “Report this profile/page” link. That's the proper way to let Facebook know. Sadly, I'm not sure how responsive they are – in other words, it's not like the profile will come down right away.

Alternatively, try one of the breach of intellectual property forms – they seem responsive to those. Maybe this one: http://www.facebook.com/legal/copyright.php?noncopyright_notice=1

I have reported several profiles when a friend of mine was inundated with posts and comments form several dozens of fake profiles of a malicious ‘ex’ and facebook did delete them. I did it the way Mari had described and so did a number of my friends.
@Sanvally do ask your friends to report this fake profile too. I suppose more reports would suggest them they should take action.

    Hello,
My fan page got deleted on Facebook and I have no idea how or why. I need to find out how this happened. I did not receive an email or any correspondence from Facebook telling me why this happened. Is there any way to contact them regarding this issue? It’s a business page and I had a lot of fans. Now I have none and have to start over.
    Thanks….

I am obtaining a security error when attempting to go to my facebook account. It asks me for my birthday of which I answer and it is telling me that it is not correct.

I am frustrated because there is no technical support, does anyone have any suggestions.

    thanks

I have the same name as a celebrity and I cannot get a facebook name using my real name, even if I use my middle name also. How can I get FB to allow me to use my real name. Right now I use Mike instead of Michael.

    Thanks.

This is great and all but, what if some stranger posts photos of your kids on there profile and their profile is set to private and the photo of your kids is set to their profile photo. also, keep in mind that you already sent a message to the user to remove the photo of your toddlers and that you already made Facebook aware but they did not manually remove the photos from that users account even though you have private photos of your kids in your profile as evidence. what then? where would i go to do this? It is not like Myspace where you can report the image as inappropriate and give a reason as to why you need it removed. also yes this is happening to me right now as i type this.
