I came across your “@” reply today (had some weird downtime due to yet another locked-in snow day), and got to revisit this blog post. Thanks for taking the time to pick the highlights out of the event. Just like Baeth Davis said about your Life Purpose, you’ve got a real talent for distilling vast amounts of info and plucking out the plums for the rest of us. Great to get reconnected with the energy and spirit that was alive and kicking at Ali’s event. Thank you, again, for sharing your thoughts.

And please, no more guilt about your gifts! You’re a leader, you’ve got too much vital stuff to share, and you’ve got a generous spirit by nature. It’d be a shame to squelch that because some (probably imagined and/or unimportant) snide-sters or critics don’t realize the value of what you’re sharing with the rest of us.

Oh goodness. There’s a wealth of lessons in this post that I need to re-read, study and embrace. Working solo means sometimes not seeing the whole picture clearly, and taking care of myself is one area I think many of we women neglect. I’m always reminded to revisit the mindmap I keep online and see if I’m really dreaming as big as I should be. I have to remember that old adage, “If you reach for the moon you may not get there, but at least you’ll land among the stars.” Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Hi Mari!

I loved meeting you at Ali’s event. Elizabeth Marshall has always spoken so highly of you and now I know why!!! Though I flew straight from LA to a “no-tech” two week vacation, I am returning to my office tomorrow with so much energy to get going on my Play Big in 2009 strategy.

The Maverick Mom found it’s voice at Ali’s event – in such large part to the women who were there. Yes! Women will change the world by “thinking big and manifesting fast”.

When I think of all the things I am thankful for, you, Mari Smith, come to mind! As I reflect on this year and how I have grown as a business owner and social media consultant, I realize just how much I have learned from you. Mari – what a fantastic experience!I just love how you caught up with some of my other fave ladies in the Industry.

Your first two ‘take away’ points really resonated with me – that Women entrepreneurs will help bring peace to the planet, but that we need to look after ourselves…. how true that is.
